Six Points / Farmer's Market Redevelopment Plan

The survival of the Six Points area depends on the revitalization of the market and the creation of a lively neighborhood. The revitalization of traditional urban main streets, like Greenfield Avenue, requires easy access, customers, and the image of a well maintained business environment.

The recommended plan includes two anchor commercial uses, one being a grocery, an improved Farmers Market site and residential uses.

Key to the success of the businesses is a linked parking and circulation system which allows easy access into the commercial areas. The plan provides a realistic approach to redevelopment that can be implemented. An alderman was quoted in The Business Journal stating, "What I like about the plan is that it's not a pie-in-the-sky plan. This is a down-to-earth project."
