Town
of Blooming Grove Land Use Plan
![]()
The Town of Blooming Grove is located in central Dane County, adjacent
to the Cities of Madison and Monona. The Town consists of a series of
islands that are rapidly dissolving due to rapid growth in the region.
To determine land use goals and assess how to best preserve the Town's identity, PDI used public meetings and workshops to address social, economic and physical factors. The primary goals for the Town of Blooming Grove include:
Each land use district reflects the type of land development appropriate for a specific area. Performance standards for each district identify how a sense of place is created and what it should feel like. Unlike traditional zoning ordinances, these districts are not just for land use; instead, they represent types of development. Graphics illustrations throughout the plan help explain concepts and recommendations. |
