The Village wanted to improve the appearance of the buildings in their downtown, many of which are historic. PDI conducted public participation workshops and individual interviews with merchants to gather input on the vision for the downtown.

PDI also assisted the Village in setting up a revolving loan program to encourage facade rehabilitation.

Finally, PDI produced a comprehensive document that included downtown facade design guidelines as well as designs for a majority of buildings on the downtown main street.
