Iron Mountain's downtown is a significant historic area, featuring a high concentration of late 19th and early 20th century commercial and institutional buildings.

PDI worked with the community to develop design guidelines which identify a number of streetscape issues within the downtown area.

Design concepts, in graphic and written form, provide options for the recommended private and public improvements and illustrate how to preserve the downtown's historic character.
