Faced with increasing residential development pressures, the Town of Grafton wanted to both accommodate potential development and ensure the preservation of the town's unique rural quality.

With the aim of maintaining scenic views and public access to natural areas, PDI created a new zoning district for residential conservation development.

As part of this process, PDI produced drawings for actual pieces of property as discussion tools to determine appropriate lot sizes, density, preserved open space, and other regulations within the zoning district.
