Firm Profile
PDI offices are located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward in a renovated warehouse built in the early 1900s. As the renovation of “Broadway Central” progressed, PDI designed its space to showcase the building’s heavy wood beams and Cream City bricks. The office is a spacious studio, with no walls, to encourage a strong team-based approach.
Larry Witzling, PDI President, founded PDI in 1988. The firm is now owned by a group of employee shareholders.

Services
PDI offers the services of a variety of professionals, including planners, designers, architects, GIS specialists, and landscape architects.
Project work includes land use plans, landscape design, architectural concepts, master plans, regulating plans, form-based codes, main street improvements, on-going site plan reviews, and strategies for sustainability and economic development.
PDI clients include municipalities as well as nonprofit groups and private developers.
PDI associates approach each project with creativity to provide a customized plan for each client.
